Memorandum of Cooperation with Ventspils Park of High Technologies and Ventspils University College

 On Friday, the 6th of September, the management of our enterprise RD ALFA Microelectronics, visited the City of Ventspils to meet the management of the Ventspils Park of High Technologies (VAHT) and the Ventspils University College to discuss future cooperation in the industry of electronics, space technologies and promotion of education. Representatives of the company also had a meeting with representatives of the Ventspils City Council, Ventspils Freeport Authority and major companies of the electronics industry in the city.

The purpose of the Memorandum of Cooperation is to promote effective cooperation between signatories of the Memorandum by creating, in a joint effort, an environment fostering the development of businesses in Ventspils, i.e. through the availability of trained and industry-trained specialists,  by developing electronic and microelectronic industries in Ventspils, attracting new electronics companies to the city, and ensuring the availability of quality production rooms, laboratories, and infrastructure in the city.

A group of students is planned to be set up at the Ventspils University College as part of the cooperation project, aiming to introduce research projects in microelectronics and to inform students of electronics about proposed topics for bachelor’s and master’s theses in microelectronics and practice opportunities at the Riga production unit of RD ALFA Microelectronics.
